To START logging Mouse Over '''QSO''' and select <u>POST QSO</u>.

WAVELOG supports 3 Logging styles under the QSO pulldown: LIVE QSO, POST A QSO, and SIMPLE FAST LOG ENTRY
The default data entry starting point is the CALL field of the station you are/have QSO'd with, but you can start anywhere by clicking on that field.

* LIVE QSO is for logging a QSO as you are having it. You cannot override the date field and can only set the start time to current. Follow the links for more detail.
'''DATE/TIME:''' Date and time start with the time that you open that window. Clicking on a ""watch"" will set either the Start or END time with the current time. TIME must be in the format XX:XX even if the MSB is a 0.

* POST A QSO is the most general option with the Date and Time default to current, but you can overwrite the Date and Times. Very useful for entering QSOs that have already happened, but you can use it as your default as it does everything LIVE QSO does.
'''MODE/BAND/FREQUENCY:''' A bit awkward, but you need to use the pulldown for MODE & BAND separately and must enter the frequency in <u>KHZ</u> with NO DECIMAL.

* SIMPLE FAST LOG ENTRY is the most generic entry mode. There are no fields, just a box you enter your contact in a single string. WAVELOG will attempt to parse the information and display it as it will go in the log.
'''CALL:''' When you enter a call and hit TAB, WAVELOG will attempt to look up that call and display the location. That feature is not enabled right now, but links to QRZ and HAMQTH are available for you to look up the call.
Let's use POST A QSO:

The default data entry starting point is the CALL field of the station you are/have QSO'd with, but you can start anywhere by clicking on that field.
'''Tab''' through and enter the data as it is highlighted. Yes, you can add NOTES :)

DATE/TIME: Date and time start with the time that you open that window. Clicking on a ""watch"" will set either the Start or END time with the current time. TIME must be in the format XX:XX even if the MSB is a 0.
Click on SAVE when done and WAVELOG will enter the data in the log.

MODE/BAND/FREQUENCY: A bit awkward, but you need to use the pulldown for MODE & BAND separately and must enter the frequency in <u>KHZ</u> with NO DECIMAL.
Other TABS: STATION/GENERAL/SAT/NOTES/QSL you don't need to worry about.

CALL: When you enter a call and hit TAB, WAVELOG will attempt to look up that call and display the location. That feature is not enabled right now, but links to QRZ and HAMQTH are available for you to look up the call.
